This issue of the Journal of AHIMA includes brief biographies, photographs, and the position
statement questions for each candidate. This year the nominating committee asked the candidates to provide their own position statement questions. The candidates’ answers to these
questions, along with their detailed biographies, are available via the AHIMA ballot at ivote.
ahima.org. The candidates’ brief bios, photos, and position statement questions and answers
are also available in the AHIMA Community of Practice. To access the CoP, visit www.ahima.
org and locate the myAHIMA log-in box. Enter your AHIMA member ID number and password.
Once logged in, select the AHIMA CoP and locate the topic “AHIMA Election—2011.”
This year the candidates are also available on AHIMA’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Get to
know more about the candidates via social media!
Polls open May 2 at 12 a.m. CT and close May 20 at 11: 59 p.m. CT.
The election results will be announced in mid-June.
