Jackie Raymond, RHIA, is the health information services director and privacy o;cer at
Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA, part of Partners HealthCare. Raymond serves
as an expert witness for several defense attorneys regarding HIPAA privacy incidents. She is
currently a member of the AHIMA Practice Council: HIE, is immediate past president of the
Massachusetts Health Information Management Association (MaHIMA), and a member of the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts Privacy and Security Ad Hoc Work Group, facilitating the
consent policy work group. Raymond created the MaHIMA Director/Manager HIM Forum for
Massachusetts HIM Professionals. She has presented nationally and for the New England HIM
annual meeting as well as MaHIMA on a variety of e-HIM topics.

and concludes on December 31 at the end of each Commissioner’s respective term. CCHIIM is
dedicated to assuring the competency of professionals practicing HIIM. CCHIIM serves the
public by establishing, implementing, and enforcing standards and procedures for certi;ca-
tion and recerti;cation of HIIM professionals.
Kerry F. Costa, RHIA, is a management consultant at Dell in the services division located in
Plano, TX. She has served as a member of AHIMA’s e-HIM committee, a CoP facilitator, an ACE
member, and a student mentor for both AHIMA and FHIMA. She is currently serving her second term as a member of the Practice Council: EHR. Costa is a published writer and presenter
on topics related to the electronic health record, process improvement, ICD- 10, HIPAA 5010,
e;ective leadership, health informatics, electronic signature/authentication, information
technology, and meaningful use. She is also certi;ed in social media and communities and will
complete her Master of Science in Health Informatics in May 2011.
