Rebecca B. Reynolds, EdD, RHIA, CHPS, FAHIMA, is professor and chair of
health informatics and information management at the University of Tennessee.
Reynolds is active in AHIMA and has served as a Tennessee delegate to the House of
Delegates, on the AHIMA Nominating Committee, and on the Committee for Excellence in Education (CEE), serving one year as chair. She is a past president of THIMA
(Tennessee). Reynolds is a recipient of the THIMA Distinguished Member Award.
She is a 2010 AHIMA Legacy Triumph Award recipient with her co-editors of the
AHIMA Press textbook Fundamentals of Law for Health Informatics and Information
Dasantila Sherifi, MBA, RHIA, PhD candidate, is a professor at DeVry University Online. Her prior experience includes working as HIT program chair at DeVry University Fort Washington, PA, a data analyst at Holy Redeemer Hospital, a research assistant at Merck & Co, Inc., and as a professor of business and marketing and director
of the business assistance center at Shkodra University, based in Albania. She has held
multiple volunteer positions for PHIMA (Pennsylvania), such as Education Committee chair and PA eHealth liaison. Sherifi has also held multiple volunteer positions for
the Southeast Pennsylvania Health Information Management Organization, including
president, treasurer, finance, and nominating committee chair.
